Happy New Year! It is my pleasure to assume the role of President of CREW Chicago for 2012-2013.  Jan Fiola did a marvelous job building the organization and moving us forward, so I have big shoes to fill.  Thank you, Jan for your leadership during the past two years.

The first order of business early each year is renewing one’s membership.  If you have not done so, please do.  The deadline to renew is February 14, 2012.  After that date, you will no longer have access to the CREW Chicago or CREW Network websites, and will not be able to attend events at the reduced “members only” price or “members only” events and will not have access to the private portions of either website, including the membership directory.  Watch the CREW Chicago calendar for the many “members only” events and opportunities for personal growth in leadership available to only to our members. One of the big shoes CREW Chicago needs to fill each year is raising sponsorship dollars so that our organization can implement its mission:  To positively impact the commercial real estate industry by advancing the power and success of women. Revenue from our luncheon meetings and other events do not provide the dollars we need to provide leadership training and mentoring opportunities for our members, or to give back to future generations through our scholarships to women seeking careers in commercial real estate, to run our CREW Careers program for high school girls, or to simply administer the organization.  Please consider asking your organization to become a CREW Chicago sponsor.  Our new sponsorship brochure is available now on our website and lists the many different ways one can become a sponsor – small to large – and the benefits available to sponsors.
