Our Committees

As a CREW Chicago member, you are encouraged to join one of our committees to connect with other members, network and to be at the heart of an organization that is changing the landscape of our industry.

Programs Committee

The Programs Committee is a dynamic group of women drawn from different backgrounds and industries who “set the agenda” for the coming year. Responsible for organizing the monthly meetings, the Programs Committee brainstorms current topics and selects speakers and locations for meetings. If you would like to have a hand in creating top-draw events and interfacing with industry leaders, this is the committee for you.

Communications Committee

The purpose of the Communications Committee is to advance the CREW Chicago mission by providing consistent and effective communications both within the CREW organization and to the media and business community. For details or to join our committee click here...

Leadership Committee

The Professional Development, Leadership & Diversity Committee focuses its work on the development of interactive leadership seminars and professional development workshops for career executives at various stages of their professional lives. Topics selected for our training programs will include those related to personal finance, mastering transformational leadership skills, and career opportunities in emerging environmental areas, and making the business case for organizational diversity. Our programs will feature professionals who are doctoral level academics and senior executives from among the most prestigious universities and corporations in the world. We invite you to join our executive leadership team.

 
Membership Committee

The Membership Committee focuses on attracting and retaining executive-level women in CREW Chicago to build a chapter whose accomplishments are dynamic and diverse. Among its activities, the Membership Committee hosts an annual prospective member reception and new member event to welcome newcomers and give them an opportunity to get to know CREW Chicago’s leadership. If you would like an opportunity to recruit and welcome new members and have input into membership goals, this is the committee for you.

Member Services Committee

The Member Services Committee has recently been created to ensure that CREW Chicago is responsive to the needs of our existing members. Other activities include promoting membership renewals, maintaining membership goals and performing periodic surveys.

Sponsorship Committee

The Sponsorship Committee secures support from member annual expenses and enables CREW Chicago to carry out its mission. In addition, the Committee solicits corporations to sponsor CREW Chicago events in return for prominent exposure and participation in ongoing initiatives. If you would like to be part of a team carrying the CREW Chicago banner into the suites of corporate America, this is the committee for you.

Scholarship Committee

CREW Chicago annually awards one or two scholarships for graduate and undergraduate students majoring or concentrating in real estate, construction, facility management, architecture, finance, urban planning, real estate law, land economics, real estate appraisal or related real estate fields. The Scholarship Committee is responsible for recruitment of applicants, scholarship application review and recommendation to the Board for grant approval.

Network Liaison Committee

The Network Liaison Committee provides national networking, business and educational information and opportunities to CREW Chicago Members through participation in CREW Network. By working through CREW Chicago’s existing committees, the Network Liaison Committee seeks to enhance our members’ ability to leverage the resources available through CREW Network and increase the visibility of our members across the Network.  Meetings are held once per month.

Last Call for Fall

Participate in CREW Chicago’s annual fundraising event. Help raise money for a worthy causes, including the CREW Foundation, and enjoy being part of the “must attend” real estate bash of the season. If you prefer not to be part of an ongoing committee but wish to participate in a worthwhile - and fun - CREW Chicago activity, this is the committee for you.

CREW Careers

This annual One-day or Multi-week program is designed to introduce teenage girls to the many career opportunities available to them in the commercial real estate industry. These programs are delivered in cooperation with a local academic institution and/or not-for profit girls’ group. To find out more click here...
